Talon Hiring Solutions has a client in the Hoover, AL area that is looking for a HR Generalist to oversee the day-to-day Human Resources operations across multiple office locations. This position works closely with the HR Director while exercising independent judgment to ensure consistent, compliant, and employee-focused HR practices. What You'll Do
- Partner with leaders and employees to provide guidance on employee relations, HR policies, and workplace best practices
- Manage the full recruitment lifecycle, including job postings, candidate communications, interviews, campus recruiting, and onboarding support
- Lead employee offboarding, including exit interviews, documentation, and transition processes
- Coordinate performance management by supporting managers with reviews, performance improvement plans, and employee development
- Maintain and update HR policies, employee handbooks, and ensure compliance with federal and state employment laws
- Administer employee records and HR data in UKG Ready, including reporting, employee status changes, and PTO tracking
- Manage employee programs such as referral bonuses, licensure incentives, and other HR initiatives
- Drive HR process improvements and support cross-office projects that enhance the employee experience
What You'll Bring:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (or equivalent experience
- 4 years of progressive HR Generalist experience with the ability to work independently
- Experience managing employee relations, recruiting, performance management, and HR compliance
- Working knowledge of employment laws, including FLSA, ADA, and FML
- Experience with HRIS systems, preferably UKG Ready, and proficiency in Microsoft Offic
- Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skill
- Ability to handle confidential information with professionalism and sound judgment
- Experience in a multi-office or professional services environment is preferred; knowledge of Deltek Vantagepoint is a plus
Salary : $70,000 - $80,000
