About the Role
The Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role by overseeing all aspects of facility and equipment maintenance in a manufacturing environment. This position ensures optimal performance of machinery, drives preventive and predictive maintenance efforts, and leads a team of maintenance professionals to support continuous production operations. The role requires hands-on technical expertise, strong project management skills, and a commitment to safety and operational excellence.
Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage the maintenance team to ensure production equipment operates efficiently and safely
- Plan, implement, and monitor routine preventive and predictive maintenance programs
- Diagnose and repair electrical, mechanical, pneumatic, and hydraulic systems
- Conduct root cause analysis for equipment failures and implement corrective actions
- Oversee installation and modification of mechanical and electrical equipment
- Maintain and utilize maintenance management software to track work orders and equipment history
- Ensure compliance with all safety protocols and regulatory standards
- Manage maintenance inventory, tools, and supplies to support operational needs
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical schematics, and technical manuals
- Support capital projects and perform special facility maintenance tasks as assigned
- Coordinate with production and department leaders to prioritize maintenance needs
- Train and mentor maintenance staff to uphold high technical and safety standards
- Perform basic administrative tasks, including purchasing parts and maintaining maintenance records
- Act as backup supervisor when the Maintenance Manager is unavailable
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of mechanical and electrical maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 3 years of supervisory or managerial experience in maintenance
- Proficient in troubleshooting PLCs, electrical circuits, motors, relays, disconnects, and fuses
- Strong understanding of pneumatics, hydraulics, and industrial mechanical systems
- Ability to perform and lead preventative and predictive maintenance activities
- Skilled in using maintenance software and Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and engineering diagrams
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Industrial Maintenance, Engineering, or a related field
- Certification in electrical, mechanical, or industrial maintenance
- Experience with lean manufacturing or continuous improvement processes
- Familiarity with OSHA regulations and workplace safety compliance
- Experience managing capital projects and equipment installations

Pay: $75,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
