ROLE
The Shop Hand is responsible for safely and efficiently operate and maintain downhole tools as well as surface pump and process equipment. Shop Hands should be proficient in the use of hand tools, such as sledgehammers, large pipe wrenches, chain tongs and other hand tools used to maintain and repair equipment.
The job duties herein describe essential functions of the position. Additionally, regular attendance and punctuality are essential to the success of the position. The individual should be able to perform these essential functions with or without requested reasonable accommodations.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
• General mechanical ability
• Performs daily inspections and preventive maintenance on downhole tools and equipment
• Basic welding skills preferred but not required.
• Shop cleaning and shop equipment maintenance
• Responsible for parts stocking and inventory count.
• Promote and strictly adhere to all Company HSE policies and practices.
• Conduct all business activities in accordance with company code of conduct, policies and procedures and all applicable legal requirements.
• Perform other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.
QUALIFICATIONS & REQUIREMENTS
• HS/GED
• Available to work overtime as needed.

• Willing to dedicate the time and effort to learn the skills required for position.
• Ability to stand, sit and/or walk on a hard surface safely bend, stoop, and reach for 8 to 10 hours a day

WORK ENVIRONMENT & PHYSICAL DEMANDS
• This position requires working primarily in an industrial facility, which may not be temperature controlled around machines with moving parts and electrical equipment. It also requires exposure to loud noises and contaminants.
