Duties
- Plan and execute events, including corporate functions, weddings, and fundraisers, ensuring all details are managed effectively.
- Collaborate with clients to understand their vision and requirements for each event.
- Negotiate contracts with vendors and suppliers to secure the best rates and services.
- Manage event budgets, tracking expenses to ensure adherence to financial guidelines.
- Coordinate catering services, including menu selection and dietary considerations.
- Oversee event marketing efforts to promote upcoming events through various channels.
- Provide exceptional customer service before, during, and after events to ensure client satisfaction.
- Develop timelines and schedules for event activities, ensuring all tasks are completed on time.
- Work closely with banquet staff and guest services to ensure seamless execution of events.
- Utilize strong communication skills to liaise with clients, vendors, and team members effectively.
Requirements
- Proven experience in event planning or management is preferred.
- Strong negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable contracts.
- Experience in marketing and upselling services related to events is a plus.
- Excellent organizational skills with a keen attention to detail.
- Ability to manage time effectively and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.
