Tall John’s is hiring a Dishwasher. This is a full-time, hourly position with benefits (medical, life, paid time off, staff meal, discounts). Tall John’s is located in the Montford neighborhood in Asheville, NC.
The Dishwasher reports directly to the Sous Chef.
JOB OVERVIEW
The Dishwasher works with the rest of the kitchen team to maintain a clean, safe, productive kitchen.
The Dishwasher is paid $16/hour a share of the 5% BOH gratuity applied to all checks. This BOH gratuity works like a tip does for servers, but it’s fixed, and it raises the hourly rate to $21/hour or higher.
RESPONSIBILITIES AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
- Experience working in restaurants is preferred.
- Must be available to work evenings and weekends.
- Must be able to operate a dish machine: changing chemicals, cleaning, etc.
- Must be able to move and handle equipment, products, etc. weighing up to 30 pounds.
- Must be able to stand for up to 8 hours a day in a warm environment.
SCHEDULE
FT: 30-34 hours per week. Generally 4-5 days per week.
PT: 16-30 hours per week. Generally 2-4 days per week.
COMPENSATION
$16 hourly rate your share of the 5% BOH gratuity applied to all checks.
