Qualification And Experience
- At least 5 years’ experience in comparable role in drayage
- Knowledge of drayage business and processes in Houston area, ideally good contacts at Port of Houston and Rail Terminals.
- Experience in dedicated onsite logistics (preferable).
- Ideally, experience in petrochemical industry
- Computer literate, especially in MS-Office, SAP a plus.
- Familiar with and able to work with the company’s quality and environmental policies (advanced safety training).
- Ability to work with deadlines.
- Ability to cope with pressure.
- People manager.
- Innovation-oriented.
- Able to plan and organize daily activities.
- Languages: Fluent English (Spoken and Written) / other languages advantageous.
- Must be able to wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) without restriction and pass any medical examination associated with the use of said PPE.
- 18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
- Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check.
- Reports to Operations Manager
- Discuss, plan and organise allocation of resources in specific shift
- Ensure quality and quantity of executed work as defined
- Assist in development and ensure abidance to SOP’s and safety instructions
- Supervise and ensure safe operations
- Ensure a safe, clean work environment
- Receive instructions from planning and ensure execution
- Ensure issue of incident reports
- Monitor and report operational performance
- Define disciplinary actions
- Participate in daily planning meetings, if required
- Performs additional duties as assigned by management.
