Overview
A leading owner and operator of utility-scale renewable energy assets is seeking a Project Finance Manager to support capital markets execution, debt structuring, and portfolio-level financing initiatives across solar, wind, and storage assets. The role sits within the corporate finance team and works cross-functionally with development, asset management, legal, and executive leadership.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead execution of project financings, including construction loans, term debt, tax equity, and back-leverage facilities
- Manage financial modeling for new financings, refinancings, and portfolio acquisitions
- Support negotiation of term sheets, credit agreements, tax equity documents, and intercreditor arrangements
- Coordinate lender, investor, rating agency, and advisor diligence processes
- Oversee transaction timelines, data rooms, and third-party consultants
- Conduct scenario analysis and sensitivity modeling to evaluate capital structure alternatives
- Partner with development and M&A teams to underwrite new investments and acquisitions
- Support ongoing compliance, covenant reporting, and lender relationship management
- Prepare investment committee materials and executive-level presentations
Qualifications
- 5 to 8 years of experience in project finance, structured finance, investment banking, or renewable energy finance
- Direct experience executing debt and or tax equity transactions in the U.S. renewable market
- Advanced financial modeling skills, including construction and operating cash flow modeling
- Strong understanding of partnership flip structures, lease pass-through, or other tax equity structures
- Experience managing external lenders, investors, and legal counsel
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, or related field. MBA or CFA is a plus
Preferred Experience
- Experience with solar, wind, and battery storage assets
- Familiarity with holdco debt, back leverage, and portfolio-level financings
- Exposure to public company reporting or sponsor-backed platforms
