Operations Process Analyst

Talis Consulting Group
Monroe, WA Full Time
POSTED ON 10/8/2026
AVAILABLE BEFORE 11/5/2026

Talis Consulting Group has been retained to recruit an Operations Process Analyst for one of the fastest-growing retailers in tabletop gaming. Founded in the late ’90s out of the owner’s garage, the company has grown into a global success story, with 400 employees and more than $130M in annual revenue.

Beyond its record-breaking eCommerce business, the company is also redefining the brick-and-mortar game store experience, with a national expansion underway.

About the Role

The Operations Process Analyst plays a key role in improving the consistency, efficiency, and measurability of the company’s operational processes. This role owns the systems and methods used to document how work gets done, understand how long it takes, and plan for the people needed to do it.

The right candidate is as comfortable on the operations floor as they are at a desk—someone who learns by observing, asks sharp questions, and translates what they find into clear standards and actionable data.

Responsibilities

Process Documentation & Standards

  • Own and administer the Document Management System for Standard Operating Procedures, ensuring SOPs are current, accessible, and consistently formatted
  • Partner with operational leads to write, revise, and retire SOPs as processes evolve
  • Conduct regular process audits to verify adherence to documented standards and identify gaps

Time & Motion Studies / Labor Standards

  • Design and execute time and motion studies across operational workflows
  • Develop and maintain labor standards based on observed and measured performance data
  • Translate standards into actionable benchmarks for supervisors and team leads

Labor & Headcount Planning

  • Build and maintain labor models that connect volume forecasts to headcount and shift requirements
  • Support headcount planning cycles with data-backed recommendations for staffing levels
  • Identify capacity constraints or surplus early, giving operations leadership time to adjust

Analysis & Cross-Functional Support

  • Perform ad hoc business and operational analysis as prioritized by the Business Operations team
  • Collaborate across departments to gather process input, share findings, and drive adoption of changes

Qualifications:

Required

  • 2–4 years of experience in an operations, industrial engineering, or process improvement role, ideally in a warehouse, fulfillment, or manufacturing environment
  • Hands-on experience conducting time and motion studies or developing labor standards
  • Experience writing, managing, or auditing SOPs in an operational setting
  • Ability to build labor or staffing models in Excel and work comfortably with large, messy datasets
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to translate technical findings into clear language for non-technical stakeholders
  • Lean, Six Sigma, or comparable process improvement background; formal certification is not required

Nice to Have

  • Experience with SQL for pulling and validating operational data
  • Familiarity with Warehouse Management Systems (WMS)
  • Experience with SharePoint for document management
  • Background in volume-based capacity planning

Location / Work Schedule

  • Monroe, Washington
  • Hybrid schedule — 3 days per week onsite

Compensation & Benefits

  • Base Pay Range: $78,000–$98,000
  • Paid Time Off: 5 weeks accrued per year, plus 8 company holidays
  • Health Benefits: Zero-cost premium options for medical, dental, and vision insurance
