FULL DESCRIPTION: The Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day manufacturing operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and production processes. This role is hands-on and will play a critical role in implementing lean manufacturing practices, improving efficiency, and driving operational excellence across the facility.
The selected candidate will be responsible for:
- Lead, manage, and develop operations staff across production, inventory, and logistics functions
- Oversee and continuously improve shipping, receiving, and inventory control processes
- Ensure efficient use of resources, reduce waste, and implement lean manufacturing methodologies
- Develop and track KPIs to monitor performance and identify areas for improvement
- Maintain accurate inventory records and ensure alignment with production needs
- Utilize advanced Excel skills to analyze data, forecast demand, and generate reports
- Ensure workplace safety compliance and enforce operational protocols
- Operate forklifts as needed and ensure team compliance with forklift certification requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional departments including R&D, Quality, and Supply Chain
The selected candidate will also possess:
- Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations Management, Supply Chain, or a related field
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in a leadership role in operations within a manufacturing environment
- Hands-on experience with shipping, receiving, and inventory control
- Demonstrated knowledge and application of lean manufacturing principles
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUPs, data analysis, etc.)
- Forklift certified and experienced in safe equipment operation
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills
- Experience in the personal care industry is a plus
Salary Range: Up to $125k/yr
