A prominent supplement brand specializing in high-quality welness
products is seeking a dedicated and process-oriented Senior Manufacturing
Engineer to enhance and refine its production operations, focusing on softgel
compounding and encapsulation. This role is pivotal in supporting daily
production activities, troubleshooting issues, boosting production capacity,
spearheading lean manufacturing efforts, and developing work instructions to
ensure operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the Research and
Development team to facilitate the successful launch of new products.
- Optimize and continuously improve
manufacturing equipment and processes to enhance efficiency.
- Develop, update, and train
production staff on Work Instructions adhering to Good Manufacturing
Practices (GMPs).
- Serve as a subject matter expert
in softgel manufacturing, providing ongoing support to streamline
production processes.
- Participate in Corrective and
Preventive Actions (CAPA), Root Cause Analysis (RCA), Kaizen events, and
5S initiatives.
- Drive lean manufacturing
strategies to explore cost-effective solutions and minimize operational
costs.
- Implement continuous improvement
projects using Lean Manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to increase
productivity, reduce waste, and elevate product quality.
- Apply statistical analysis to
optimize the encapsulation production line for improved efficiency and
quality.
- Oversee capital projects,
including equipment upgrades and new installations, performing
Installation, Operational, and Performance Qualifications (IQ, OQ, PQ).
- Ensure compliance with health,
safety, and environmental regulations, maintaining industry-standard
processes.
- Stay informed about advancements
in manufacturing technologies and propose upgrades to keep operations
cutting-edge.
- Perform additional duties as
required.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Chemical
Engineering, Pharmaceutical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Food
Engineering. Lean Certification (Green Belt or Black Belt) is mandatory.
- Experience: Minimum of 7 years in
production and manufacturing engineering, with specific expertise in
softgel encapsulation. Proven experience in project management,
cost-saving initiatives, and continuous improvement is essential.
- Skills: Proficiency in GMPs, strong
analytical and statistical skills, and the ability to manage capital
projects. Candidates should be positive, innovative, detail-oriented,
enthusiastic, friendly, proactive, organized, and reliable.
- Technical Skills: Competency in relevant computer
applications is required.
Benefits
Competitive compensation, up to $135,000, based on candidate
