Position Overview
Seeking an experienced Structural Steel Project Manager to oversee projects from kickoff through completion. This individual will work closely with detailers, field managers, fabricators, designers, subcontractors, and customers to ensure projects are completed successfully.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone currently working for a large GC who wants to focus on one scope of work while maintaining strong compensation and reducing overall stress and workload.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage structural steel projects from kickoff to completion
- Build project schedules and timelines
- Coordinate with clients, field crews, subcontractors, and internal teams
- Manage RFIs, submittals, and change orders
- Track project progress, scheduling, and job costs
- Attend occasional job site meetings
- Work closely with fabrication and detailing teams
- Coordinate project execution between office and shop operations
- Handle approximately 15–20 active projects at a time
Qualifications
- 10 years of experience in structural steel or related industry
- Strong blueprint and shop drawing knowledge
- Experience with Tekla PowerFab preferred
- Field/job site experience required
- Familiar with AIA billing (G702/G703)
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Experience with:
- Bluebeam
- Excel
- AutoCAD (basic familiarity preferred)
- Motivated, detail-oriented, and growth-minded
