Responsibilities:
- Lead planning, management, and integration of the Quality Department and Medical Staff Services to support facility-wide objectives.
- Direct short and long-range programs and projects to meet strategic goals and ensure operational efficiency.
- Coordinate and facilitate performance improvement activities, utilizing methodologies such as PDSA.
- Oversee recruitment, selection, evaluation, and professional development of quality and medical staff office personnel.
- Ensure departmental compliance with all federal, state, Joint Commission, and local regulatory requirements and lead survey readiness initiatives.
- Prioritize quality projects and allocate resources to achieve key organizational outcomes.
- Participate in committees and cross-functional task forces to influence hospital-wide strategies and initiatives.
- Collaborate with department leaders to resolve process challenges and clarify responsibilities for continuous improvement.
- Champion initiatives to improve infection control, hand hygiene, and reduce hospital-acquired events through education and targeted interventions.
- Undertake special projects assigned by the Administrative Management Team, ensuring achievement of established objectives.
Must-Have Skills:
- Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in a healthcare-related field.
- Progressive leadership experience in hospital quality management.
- Strong knowledge of healthcare regulatory standards (e.g., Joint Commission, CMS).
- Proven ability to lead performance improvement, compliance, and accreditation activities.
- Exceptional team management and interpersonal communication skills.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- CPHQ certification.
- 5 years of hospital quality experience.
- Experience with infection prevention, risk management, and core measure abstraction.
- Advanced degree (e.g., Master’s in healthcare administration or related discipline).
- Demonstrated success implementing hospital-wide performance improvement programs.
