Responsibilities:
- Oversee the management and performance of all project craft employees on site.
- Collaborate with the project management team to ensure adherence to project schedules and budgets.
- Maintain and update construction schedules, including the development and monitoring of 3-week look-ahead plans.
- Supervise the procurement of materials and equipment necessary for successful project execution.
- Implement and enforce safety standards, conduct safety audits, and deliver ongoing safety training for staff.
- Facilitate field communications among project stakeholders, attending meetings and ensuring all parties are kept informed.
- Ensure that all work meets required quality standards and participates in QA/QC programs.
- Promptly report any violations of policies, procedures, or safety guidelines and ensure team compliance.
Must-Have Skills:
- 8 years of experience in the electrical trade, with at least 3 years in data center construction.
- Proven experience managing projects with multiple crews and large teams (150 craft employees).
- Ability to interpret electrical drawings, submittals, and BIM detailing; strong comprehension of specifications.
- Exceptional organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Knowledge of electrical systems, industry standards, and commitment to safety and quality.
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; ability to travel as required.
- Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and adapt to diverse environments.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- 10 years of experience in electrical trades, particularly in data center construction.
- Expertise in developing and continually refining overall construction schedules.
- Hands-on ability to contribute to installation or guide teams through installation and troubleshooting.
- Proficiency in coordinating manpower and managing materials ordering after competitive pricing.
- In-depth knowledge of company, state, and OSHA safety standards.
