Our client is seeking two seasoned Production Supervisors to oversee 2nd and 3rd shift manufacturing, ensuring compliance with rigorous food safety standards while fostering a culture of continuous improvement. This role offers the chance to lead a dedicated team, influence process enhancements, and contribute directly to delivering safe, high‑quality products to the market.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise production associates, providing clear work direction, reviewing reports, and ensuring output meets standards.
- Communicate regularly with Warehouse, Human Resources, and Quality Assurance to coordinate seamless operations.
- Maintain high standards of food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness across all manufacturing areas.
- Ensure associates are properly trained on production responsibilities and safety requirements.
- Monitor production lines to confirm GMPs and safety procedures are consistently followed.
- Identify efficiency opportunities and help implement actions to improve productivity and cost effectiveness.
- Perform other duties as directed to support overall plant performance.
Must-Have Skills:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree in industrial supervision, engineering, business or related field preferred.
- 2 years supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably food manufacturing.
- Strong computer skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with a positive, can‑do attitude.
- Demonstrated ability to lead, empower, and engage team members.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Experience with ERP systems such as SAGE and time‑keeping tools like Kronos.
- Formal education in industrial supervision, engineering, or business (2‑ or 4‑year degree).
- Familiarity with food safety certifications (HACCP, SQF, BRC, AIB).
- Ability to work in seasonal warehouse and food processing plant temperature conditions.
- Knowledge of GMP, CGMP, and overall food safety best practices.
