Responsibilities:
- Direct production team members in assembly, testing, and packaging to achieve daily output goals.
- Ensure all activities are completed in accordance with assembly instructions, parts lists, and current job specifications.
- Verify that finished products meet all quality standards and work instructions.
- Coordinate closely with other departments to streamline workflow and resolve issues.
- Set and monitor production goals while providing regular updates to site management.
- Troubleshoot and resolve assembly and production problems to meet quality and demand requirements.
- Hire, train, and cross-train personnel to maximize flexibility and support onboarding of new staff.
- Champion a safe, clean work environment that meets or exceeds company safety standards.
- Document opportunities for improvement to boost product quality and production efficiency.
- Provide support in other areas during staff shortages or absences as needed.
Must-Have Skills:
- Minimum 3 years' experience in production operations or manufacturing processes, including experience with LEAN, 5S, or process improvement initiatives.
- Proven supervisory or lead experience in a manufacturing or production setting.
- Excellent organizational skills and acute attention to detail.
- Strong leadership abilities with effective communication across diverse teams.
- Demonstrated decision-making and advanced problem-solving skills.
- Track record of successfully meeting deadlines in a fast-paced environment while upholding quality and professionalism.
- Bilingual in Spanish and English is required for effective team communication and training.
- High School diploma or GED preferred.
Nice-to-Have Skills:
- Familiarity with Six Sigma or other continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience in high-volume or discrete manufacturing operations.
- Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and incident investigation practices.
- Background in onboarding, employee development, or staff performance management.
- Competency with production scheduling, metrics tracking, and KPI analysis.
- Ability to implement root cause analysis and corrective actions for process or quality issues.
- Experience in cross-functional collaboration with maintenance, engineering, or materials management teams.
