Job Title: Calypso Developer
Location: Atlanta, GA (Onsite/Hybrid) (Only local candidates )
Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Calypso Developer with strong technical and functional expertise to support and enhance trading and risk systems within the Capital Markets domain. The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on experience in Calypso platform development and customization, along with solid knowledge of equity derivatives, particularly U.S. stock options.
Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and customize components within the Calypso platform, including Scheduled Tasks, Engines, and Reports
- Utilize and extend Calypso APIs to implement new functionalities and improve existing workflows
- Analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable technical solutions
- Work with Calypso messaging and sender frameworks for integration with external systems
- Write efficient and optimized SQL queries and work with Calypso database structures
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams in an Agile development environment
- Support and enhance functionality related to Equity Derivatives, especially Single Stock Options
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues across development, testing, and production environments
Required Qualifications
- 8 years of hands-on experience with the Calypso platform
- Strong understanding of Calypso architecture and core modules
- Proven experience in Calypso development and customization
- Solid knowledge of Calypso messaging and sender frameworks
- Strong expertise in SQL and database structures within Calypso
- Experience working with Calypso versions v17 or v18
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders
- Mandatory: Experience with Stock Options trading on U.S. exchanges (CBOE & Nasdaq)
Preferred / Good-to-Have Skills
- Experience integrating WEX with Calypso
- Experience integrating Imagine tool with Calypso
- Exposure to broader Equity Derivatives products and U.S. market workflows
- Familiarity with trade lifecycle, risk management, and regulatory reporting
Key Notes for Recruiters
- Strong hands-on Calypso development experience is mandatory
- Candidate must have U.S. Equity Derivatives (Stock Options) experience
- Look specifically for experience with CBOE and Nasdaq markets
- Prior experience with Calypso integrations (WEX / Imagine) is a plus
