A high-growth, VC-backed Series D SaaS company is seeking a Strategic Finance Manager to join its finance organization during a pivotal stage of growth. Having achieved significant scale and established strong market leadership, the business is continuing to invest heavily in product innovation, go-to-market expansion, and operational excellence as it progresses toward its next phase of growth.
Reporting to the Head of Strategic Finance this role will serve as a key business partner to senior leadership, helping drive strategic decision-making through financial analysis, forecasting, business case development and performance insights. You will work cross-functionally with leaders across Sales, Marketing, Product, Customer Success and Operations to support growth initiatives and optimize capital allocation.
This is a highly visible position offering significant exposure to executive leadership, board-level reporting, fundraising initiatives and strategic projects.
Responsibilities
- Lead budgeting, forecasting, long-range planning and strategic finance initiatives.
- Build financial models to support growth, investment decisions and business strategy.
- Partner with GTM teams to improve sales efficiency, customer acquisition, and revenue performance.
- Analyze core SaaS metrics including ARR, NRR, GRR, CAC, LTV, payback period, Rule of 40 and operating leverage.
- Support board reporting, investor materials, fundraising and executive decision-making.
- Evaluate new market opportunities, product investments and potential M&A activity.
- Conduct scenario planning and provide data-driven recommendations.
- Develop KPI frameworks and drive cross-functional projects to improve scalability and operational performance.
- Collaborate closely with FP&A, Accounting, Revenue Operations, and Data teams to ensure reporting consistency.
Requirements
- 5–8 years of experience in Strategic Finance, FP&A, Corporate Finance, Investment Banking, Private Equity, Growth Equity, or Consulting.
- Strong financial modeling, forecasting, and analytical skills.
- Deep understanding of SaaS business models, recurring revenue, and key performance metrics.
- Experience supporting executive leadership with strategic planning and decision-making.
- Advanced Excel skills and experience with planning tools such as Adaptive, Pigment, Anaplan, or Mosaic.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities.
- Previous experience within a high-growth, venture-backed technology or SaaS business is preferred.
Compensation
$170,000 – $210,000 base salary equity comprehensive benefits package (depending on experience).
Ideal Background
- Series C–E SaaS, AI, Cloud Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, Data, or Developer Tools companies
- Experience supporting businesses with $100M–$500M ARR
- Prior Investment Banking, Private Equity, Growth Equity, Strategy Consulting or Strategic Finance experience
- Exposure to board reporting, fundraising processes and strategic transactions
- Track record of partnering with executive teams to drive growth, improve efficiency and support long-term value creation.
