Responsibilities
- Assist surgical team as RNFA, ensuring sterile field and instrument handling.
- Provide perioperative care across all stages, from pre-op to post-op recovery.
- Participate in perioperative safety checks and adherence to aseptic protocols.
- Monitor and manage patient vitals and respond to intraoperative changes.
- Collaborate with CNAs and scrub techs to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Document intraoperative events accurately in patient records and case logs.
- Assist with anesthesia-related tasks as permitted by scope of practice.
- Demonstrate eagerness for ongoing professional development and training.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement to shorten cycle times.
- Educate patients and families about perioperative processes and expectations.
- Maintain on-site visibility of activities through daily performance metrics.
- Support pipeline development by tracking cases and upcoming surgical requests.
- RNFA with perioperative nursing certification or equivalent credential.
- Proven ability to maintain sterile field and handle instruments safely.
- Experience across all perioperative stages: pre-op to post-op recovery.
- Monitor vitals and respond to intraoperative hemodynamic changes.
- Collaborate with CNAs and scrub techs to ensure workflow efficiency.
- Accurate intraoperative documentation and case log entry.
- Support anesthesia-related tasks within scope of practice.
- Demonstrate commitment to ongoing professional development.
- Identify and implement process improvements to shorten cycle times.
- Educate patients and families about perioperative processes and expectations.
- Track surgical pipelines and upcoming case requests to support planning.
- On-site visibility: contribute to daily performance metrics and dashboards.
