RN – Postpartum | Tucson, AZ | Travel Contract

Contract: 13 Weeks

Start Date: September 21, 2026

End Date: December 19, 2026

Shift: Nights | 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

Schedule: 3x12s | 36 hours/week

We are hiring experienced Postpartum RNs for a travel assignment at a high-acuity hospital in Tucson, Arizona.

This is an opportunity for an experienced Postpartum RN who is comfortable working in a large, busy hospital environment and providing care to postpartum patients with varying levels of acuity.

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive nursing care to postpartum patients throughout the post-delivery period.
• Monitor maternal and newborn status and identify changes requiring intervention.
• Perform postpartum assessments and monitor vital signs, pain, bleeding, and recovery.
• Support patients with breastfeeding, newborn care, and postpartum education.
• Administer medications and treatments according to orders and facility protocols.
• Recognize and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Collaborate with physicians, midwives, lactation consultants, and other members of the care team.
• Provide patient and family education related to postpartum recovery, medications, warning signs, and discharge planning.
• Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation.
• Follow hospital policies, safety standards, and infection-control procedures.
• Work effectively in a high-acuity hospital environment while maintaining patient safety and quality of care.
  
  

Requirements

• Active RN license eligible to work in Arizona.
• Minimum 2 years of recent Postpartum RN experience.
• High-acuity hospital experience required.
• Experience in a large hospital environment strongly preferred.
• Previous travel nursing experience required.
• Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
• Ability to manage multiple patients and changing clinical priorities.
• Strong communication and teamwork skills.
• Must be comfortable working 12-hour night shifts.
• Must be available for the full contract period.

Important: This position requires both high-acuity Postpartum experience and previous travel experience. Candidates who do not meet these requirements may not be considered.
