Job Title: RN - Oncology

Job Summary

Provides specialized nursing care to patients receiving treatment for cancer and other hematologic or oncologic conditions. Monitors patient conditions, administers oncology treatments, manages treatment-related symptoms and complications, and coordinates care with the multidisciplinary team.

Education & Experience

• Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
• 1–2 years of oncology, hematology, or acute care nursing experience preferred.
• Experience with chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or other cancer treatments is preferred.
  
  

Licenses & Certifications

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
• BLS certification required.
• ACLS certification required or preferred based on patient population.
• ONS/ONCC chemotherapy and biotherapy certification preferred.
  
  

Key Responsibilities

• Assess and monitor oncology patients for changes in condition, treatment response, and complications.
• Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, medications, IV therapy, blood products, and other prescribed treatments according to established protocols.
• Monitor for adverse reactions, infection, bleeding, pain, and other treatment-related complications.
• Provide symptom management and supportive care throughout the treatment process.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, medications, side effects, and home care.
• Collaborate with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and follow infection control, patient safety, and oncology care standards.
