Education & Experience
- Graduate of an accredited practical or vocational nursing program: Required
- Prior experience in a long-term care or skilled nursing setting: Preferred
Licenses & Certifications
- Licensed Practical Nurse or Licensed Vocational Nurse licensure in the state of practice: Required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification: Required
Key Responsibilities
- Administer medications and treatments in accordance with physician orders and facility policy.
- Perform resident assessments and monitor for changes in physical, cognitive or behavioral status.
- Supervise and delegate appropriately to Certified Nursing Assistants on the assigned unit.
- Complete accurate and timely documentation in the resident record and medication administration record.
- Communicate changes in resident condition to the Registered Nurse, physician and family as appropriate.
- Follow infection control, safety and regulatory requirements governing long-term care practice.
Salary : $35 - $38
