Education & Experience
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing required.
- 1–2 years of Labor & Delivery or obstetric nursing experience preferred.
- Experience with fetal monitoring, labor management, and high-risk obstetric care is preferred.
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license required.
- BLS certification required.
- ACLS certification required.
- NRP certification required.
- Fetal monitoring certification preferred.
- Assess and continuously monitor maternal and fetal condition throughout labor and delivery.
- Monitor fetal heart rate, contractions, vital signs, and other indicators of maternal and fetal well-being.
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and other prescribed treatments safely.
- Assist with vaginal and cesarean deliveries and respond to obstetric emergencies.
- Provide patient education, emotional support, and guidance throughout labor and delivery.
- Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesia providers, and other healthcare professionals.
- Provide immediate postpartum care and maintain accurate clinical documentation and patient handoff.
