Education & Experience
- Associate’s Degree or equivalent in Radiologic Technology, MRI Technology, or a related field required.
- 1–2 years of MRI or acute-care imaging experience preferred.
- Experience working with critically ill or hospitalized patients is preferred.
- ARRT certification in MRI or equivalent MRI credential required.
- State radiologic technologist license required where applicable.
- BLS certification required.
- MRI safety training/certification preferred.
- Perform MRI examinations according to established protocols and physician orders.
- Screen patients for MRI safety, implants, contraindications, and relevant medical history.
- Position and monitor patients appropriately throughout MRI procedures.
- Operate MRI equipment and adjust imaging parameters to obtain high-quality diagnostic images.
- Administer contrast agents when required and monitor patients for adverse reactions.
- Follow MRI safety, radiation/imaging, infection control, and patient privacy standards.
- Communicate with radiologists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals and maintain accurate examination documentation.
