Job Details

● Type: Full-time
● Schedule: 2nd Shift, 4:30 pm- 1:30 am Monday–Friday
Key Responsibilities
● Prepare and set up tools and equipment required for welding jobs
● Arrange and stage parts for welding processes
● Perform welding operations according to specifications and work instructions
● Conduct quality inspections and checks per control plans and documentation requirements
● Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions to the lead
● Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work area and follow all safety procedures
● Read and interpret instructions, memos, work orders, and simple correspondence
● Understand welding symbols, print tolerances, and use basic measuring equipment
● Troubleshoot and resolve issues within the assigned work area
● Meet production efficiency and quality standards
● Cross-train in multiple workstations as required
● Assist in other work areas and perform additional duties as assigned
Skills & Experience
● Ability to read and interpret blueprints, work orders, and instructions
● Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division; whole numbers, fractions, decimals)
● Understanding of welding symbols and measuring tools
● Ability to apply common sense to follow detailed written or oral instructions
● Ability to work independently without supervision
● Experience in a metal manufacturing environment preferred
Preferred Qualifications
● 1 year of experience in metal manufacturing or similar environment
● Ability to pass AWS certifications for MIG welding steel and aluminum
● Ability to obtain and maintain weld certifications in multiple welding processes
● Familiarity with quality standards and production efficiency metrics (PPM)
● Experience with inspection tools and print tolerances
Work Environment & Physical Requirements
● Exposure to moving mechanical parts, vibration, and occasional electrical risk
● Noise levels may be moderate to loud
● Regular standing, sitting, and use of hands for precision work
● Occasional climbing, bending, kneeling, or crawling
● Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 lbs occasionally
● Vision requirements include close, distance, color, peripheral vision, and depth perception
● Must follow all safety procedures and wear required PPE in the facility
