Job Title: Press Brake Operator (Level I, II, III)
Overview Summary
We are seeking a Press Brake Operator to support manufacturing operations by setting up and operating metal bending machines. This role is responsible for producing high-quality, consistent parts while maintaining safety, efficiency, and adherence to production standards. Opportunities are available for entry-level, intermediate, and advanced candidates based on experience and skill level.

● Schedule: 2nd Shift (Monday–Friday; 3:30 PM – 12:00 AM)
Pay
BOE - $20.00 - $29.00/hour with a 5% shift differential for 2nd Shift
Key Responsibilities
- Operate press brake machines to bend and form metal parts according to specifications.
- Follow bending sequences and blueprints to ensure accuracy and consistency.
- Perform quality inspections using tools such as calipers, squares, height gauges, and protractors.
- Set up tooling and adjust machine settings based on material type and production requirements.
- Monitor and control machine performance, including RAM speed and forming processes.
- Identify and troubleshoot production issues to maintain quality standards.
- Understand material behavior such as springback, deflection, and shrinkage.
- Maintain clean, safe, and organized work areas in compliance with safety protocols.
- Read and interpret blueprints, work instructions, and safety guidelines.
- Document production processes and complete reference sheets for complex parts.
- Identify and report defective materials or questionable conditions.
- Cross-train and assist in other production areas as needed.
- Train and mentor team members (advanced level).
- Support preventative maintenance and coordinate equipment needs (advanced level).
Skills & Experience
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, safety rules, and work instructions.
- Knowledge of basic math functions (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
- Experience using measurement tools such as calipers and squares.
- Understanding of metal fabrication processes and material types (steel, aluminum, stainless).
- Ability to work independently and meet productivity standards (intermediate/advanced).
Preferred Qualifications
● Level I: Entry-level candidates with basic mechanical aptitude and willingness to learn.
● Level II:
- 2 years of related experience
- Ability to set up machines and make tooling adjustments
- Knowledge of shimming (.010, .020), hemming, offsets, and die selection
- Ability to create machine programs
● Level III:
- 4 years of related experience
- Advanced troubleshooting and process optimization skills
- Experience calibrating equipment and managing tooling libraries
- Ability to train and mentor employees
- Strong leadership and communication skills
Work Environment
- Manufacturing setting with exposure to moving mechanical parts and vibration
- Moderate to occasionally loud noise levels
- Occasional exposure to electrical hazards
Physical Requirements
- Regularly required to stand, use hands, and communicate effectively
- Occasional bending, kneeling, crouching, or climbing
- Ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds
- Requires close vision, distance vision, and depth perception
