POSTED ON 9/3/2026

Job Description As Senior Engineer - Transmission & Driveline Development & Validation, you will own the end-to-end development and validation of automatic transmission, driveline, and gear reducer systems. You will ensure components meet stringent performance, durability, and functional targets while driving rigorous test and validation programs. Your work will be central to delivering robust, production-ready powertrain solutions that meet demanding OEM and customer requirements.

Key Responsibilities: Lead development and validation activities for automatic transmission, driveline, and gear reducer systems from concept through production release. Design and develop components to meet defined performance, durability, NVH, and functional requirements. Plan, author, and manage validation test plans, including defining BOM, test schedules, and resource needs.

Support test cell setup, instrumentation, debugging, and execution of bench and vehicle-based validation programs. Perform root cause analysis on test issues, failures, and stoppages, and drive corrective actions to closure. Collaborate closely with hardware, software, calibration, thermal management, and engine engineering teams to integrate and optimise systems.

Analyze test data, interpret results, and generate clear validation reports with actionable recommendations. Lead post-test inspection activities, documenting findings and feeding lessons learned back into design and development. Manage multiple concurrent projects, balancing timelines, deliverables, and technical priorities.

Key Requirements: Minimum 5 years of engineering experience in automatic transmission, driveline, or gear reducer design, development, calibration, or controls. Proven hands-on experience in testing and validation of powertrain or driveline systems, including test planning and execution. Strong background in mechanical or powertrain engineering, with a solid understanding of transmission and driveline architectures and components.

Demonstrated ability to diagnose complex test issues and implement effective engineering solutions. Proficiency with basic PC software tools, including MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Project for documentation and project tracking. Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to convey technical information to cross-functional stakeholders.

Self-directed, highly motivated mindset with a track record of managing multiple complex projects and meeting deadlines. Strong collaboration skills and a positive, professional attitude in a team-based environment. Desirable Skills: Experience with automated test systems, data acquisition, and instrumentation specific to powertrain testing.

Familiarity with calibration tools, transmission control strategies, or driveline control systems. Exposure to NVH testing and analysis related to driveline and transmission components. Experience working with OEMs or Tier 1 suppliers on transmission or driveline programs.

Knowledge of thermal management considerations for powertrain and driveline systems. Background in reliability engineering, durability testing methodologies, or DFMEA. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related field (required).

Master's degree in a relevant engineering discipline (preferred). Professional Engineer (PE) license or progress toward licensure (preferred). Relevant industry training or certifications in powertrain, transmission, or driveline systems (preferred).

If you're ready to take ownership of critical transmission and driveline development and validation programs and want to contribute at a senior level, we encourage you to apply.
