You'll be the go-to person for coordinating field activity, ensuring projects stay on track and customers are well-served.

About the Role: As the Lead Technician, you will oversee day-to-day technical operations on site, guiding a team of technicians through installation, troubleshooting, and repair work. You will interpret blueprints, coordinate cable pulling and terminations, and ensure all work meets safety, quality, and timeline expectations. Your leadership will be central to delivering reliable systems and a professional customer experience throughout the 12-16 week contract period.

Key Responsibilities: Lead and supervise technicians on site, assigning tasks, monitoring progress, and ensuring adherence to safety and quality standards. Interpret and work from blueprints and technical drawings to plan and execute fiber and copper cable installations. Perform equipment troubleshooting, diagnosing electrical and mechanical issues and implementing effective repairs.

Oversee and participate in cable pulling, routing, labeling, and termination of fiber and copper cabling. Coordinate daily work schedules and priorities to meet project deadlines within the Monday-Friday 6:30 AM-4:30 PM, 60-hour work week. Provide clear, professional communication with customers and site contacts regarding work status, issues, and resolutions.

Verify proper use and maintenance of tools and equipment, ensuring the team is equipped and operating safely. Conduct on-the-job training and guidance for technicians to maintain high technical and service standards. Key Requirements: Proven experience in a lead or senior technician role, supervising field or installation teams.

Strong hands-on skills in equipment troubleshooting, electrical systems, and mechanical repair. Demonstrated expertise with fiber and copper cabling, including installation, pulling, and termination. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and technical documentation.

Solid team leadership and supervision capabilities in fast-paced, field-based environments. Effective verbal and written communication skills for coordinating with teams and customers. Strong customer service orientation with a focus on professionalism and reliability.

Availability for a 12-16 week contract through the end of the year, working 60 hours per week, Monday-Friday, 6:30 AM-4:30 PM. Desirable Skills: Experience leading multiple crews or projects simultaneously. Background in low-voltage systems or telecommunications installations.

Familiarity with industry-specific testing equipment for fiber and copper verification. Knowledge of relevant local codes and standards for electrical and cabling work. Prior experience in commercial or industrial environments in the Kenner, LA area.

Qualifications: High school diploma or GED required. Technical trade school, apprenticeship, or vocational training in electrical, mechanical, or telecommunications disciplines preferred. Relevant certifications in low-voltage, fiber optics, or cabling (e.g., FOA, BICSI) are an advantage
