Job Title: Salesforce Architecture & Campaign Enablement
Location: Remote or Denver CO
Duration: 8 months

Salesforce experience required!

Description:
  • The Salesforce Marketing Cloud (MCE) Solution Architect is a critical execution and stabilization role for the Mercury Digital Marketing organization during a period of CRM growth, with increasing need for sophistication across our CRM email, SMS, and lifecycle campaigns.
  • This role exists to bring deep, hands‐on Salesforce expertise into the heart of our marketing engine — specifically across data, audience architecture, automation, and personalization. We are not looking for a conceptual architect or deck‐builder. We need a builder‐architect who can design, configure, and troubleshoot complex Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions in real time, with a strong command of how data and audiences actually behave in production.
  • You will serve as the connective tissue between business unit , patient marketing, and physician marketing strategy leaders, data engineering, email development, and QA — ensuring campaigns are scalable, automated, compliant, and resilient. This is a high‐trust, high‐impact guest teammate role for someone who thrives in complexity, urgency, and ambiguity.

Salesforce Architecture & Campaign Enablement (Primary Focus)
  • Design and implement end‐to‐end Salesforce Marketing Cloud solutions across Email Studio, Journey Builder, Automation Studio, Content Builder, and Audience Builder.
  • Architect scalable campaign frameworks that support high‐volume P360 email, lifecycle, and triggered communications.
  • Translate business requirements into practical, buildable Salesforce architectures — including journeys, automations, data extensions, and personalization logic.
  • Data, Audience & Personalization Expertise
  • Own audience architecture and segmentation strategy within Salesforce Marketing Cloud, including:Data Extensions and relationships
  • Attribute selection and audience logic
  • Suppression, prioritization, and eligibility rules
  • Partner closely with data and CRM teams to integrate Salesforce core data, CDP/Data 360 inputs, and upstream systems.
  • How Success Is Measured
  • Salesforce architectures and automations are stable, scalable, and production‐ready
  • Audience logic and personalization behave as expected in live campaigns
  • Technical risks are identified early and mitigated before launch
  • Campaign teams trust you as a go‐to Salesforce expert during high‐pressure moments
  • Delivery speed and confidence improve despite ongoing team change
  • Design and implement advanced personalization strategies, leveraging:AMPscript, SQL, SSJS
  • Automation Studio workflows
  • MCP‐driven or rules‐based personalization models
  • Automation & Scale
  • Build and optimize Salesforce automations that reduce manual effort and improve reliability across campaigns.
  • Identify opportunities to standardize and templatize journeys, audiences, and data flows to improve speed and consistency.
  • Troubleshoot automation failures, data mismatches, and journey issues quickly and independently.
Quality, Risk & Partnership
  • Act as a technical risk mitigator, identifying architectural weaknesses before they impact live campaigns.
  • Partner tightly with Email Developers and QA Engineers to ensure builds are accurate, testable, and launch‐ready.
  • Provide hands‐on support during high‐risk launches, fixes, and escalations.
  • Contribute lightweight documentation and best practices that raise the technical bar without slowing delivery.
