Job Title: Quality Assurance Testing Analyst
Location: 100% REMOTE
Duration: 6 Months Contract with possibilty of extension
Job Summary:
At Client, the Quality Assurance Testing Analyst supports the application development organization by independently executing highly complex software testing activities that significantly impact application quality, performance, and functionality across the organization. This role ensures applications meet both functional and non-functional requirements through rigorous testing, analysis, and close collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Independently perform manual testing of applications and translate results into actionable insights in collaboration with management
- Design, script, configure, and execute performance testing to validate production readiness, ensuring system stability and compliance with non-functional requirements
- Analyze test data to identify performance bottlenecks and recommend improvements to enhance customer experience
- Maintain detailed documentation of testing activities, test cases, and ensure compliance with internal policies and procedures
- Provide summaries and performance assessments, highlighting trends and conducting deep-dive analysis when necessary
- Collaborate with Application Development (AppDev) teams during story design to ensure features are performant, scalable, and resilient
- Perform post-production validation independently to ensure deployment success
- Coordinate non-functional testing efforts, including performance testing, concert testing, and penetration (pen) testing
- Lead complex testing initiatives as a subject matter expert, working with minimal supervision
- Identify technical knowledge gaps and collaborate with management to develop training plans
- Mentor junior analysts, strengthening their technical, analytical, and case management skills
- High School Diploma or GED with 10 years of quality assurance or related experience
OR - Bachelor's degree in a related field with 6 years of quality assurance or related experience
- Working knowledge of Client testing standards
- Advanced understanding of software implementation methodologies
- Strong expertise in test case design and testing strategies
- Experience with test management tools such as Azure DevOps, qTest, or Application Lifecycle Management (ALM)
Must Have:
- Strong Analysis and Requirements Analysis capabilities
- Expertise in Test Design and Test Execution
- Hands-on experience in API Testing using tools such as Postman / API testing tools
- Experience with User Interface (UI) Testing
- Proficiency in Defect Management processes
- Experience using Atlassian JIRA for tracking and workflow management
- Strong Critical Thinking and problem-solving skills
Nice to Have:
- Knowledge of QA Metrics and reporting
- Experience with qTest
- Exposure to Secure Payments software
- Strong collaboration and teamwork abilities across multiple teams
- Ability to research, analyze data, and derive actionable, data-driven insights
- Effective priority and time management skills
- Strong analytical mindset with attention to detail
- Ability to work independently and make informed decisions based on experience and judgment
