Job Title: Automation Engineer
Location: Portsmouth, NH

Support ongoing Client operations through technical assistance as it relates to the manufacturing and process automation systems. Provide a technical resource to operations customers to ensure that instrumentation and automation systems are designed and operating to meet production needs.
Job Description* (Key Accountabilities)
Define all key accountabilities (5-10), which the role will be expected to perform in short to medium future. Make sure that you list the accountability on top, which the role will be doing most frequently and which has most impact on the the team/BU/Lonza. Begin each sentence with an action word, e.g. Provides appropriate coaching and performance feedback to all direct reports.
Develop technical knowledge on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems
Assist with tech transfer, projects, and process improvements as needed.
Support resolution of equipment breakdowns and quality issues in the suites
Conduct troubleshooting and technical analyses on manufacturing equipment and processes automation systems including PI data analyses, review/troubleshooting code, etc. both during normal business hours and as part of an on-call rotation.
Performs all work safely and meets the requisite training requirements.
Participates in IPT/JPT in addition to other meetings as the Controls representative
Initiates change controls and participates in all aspects of the change controls process.
Complete change request lot assessments to support lot release
Review SOPs, Functional Specifications, and work instructions
Remain up to date on all assigned training activities
Perform other duties as assigned
