Overview:
- Seeking a Senior Wireless / 5G RAN Architect to lead the design, evaluation, and lab validation of 4G LTE and 5G RAN technologies. This role focuses on proof-of-concept development, vendor testing, and next-generation wireless architecture supporting future services.
Required Skills:
- Strong hands-on experience with 5G NR / LTE RAN.
- Expertise in RF testing and lab equipment (Spectrum Analyzer, Signal Generator, etc.).
- Knowledge of L1-L3 protocols (PHY, MAC, RRC, OFDM).
- Experience with vRAN, MIMO, GPS/PTP timing & synchronization.
- Hands-on configuration of gNB/eNB, DU, CU, BBU.
- Experience in lab environments and test automation (preferred).
Qualifications:
- BS/MS in Electrical or Computer Engineering (MBA a plus).
- 7 years wireless engineering experience.
- Background with large telecoms, MSOs, or wireless vendors preferred.
Responsibilities:
- Design and evaluate 5G/LTE RAN architectures including vRAN.
- Lead lab-based testing, validation, and PoC development.
- Research and assess emerging wireless technologies and architectures.
- Integrate gNB/eNB, DU/CU/BBU, RF hardware, and software.
- Develop and execute test plans for performance and functionality.
- Coordinate with vendors on firmware, software, and hardware validation.
- Support initiatives related to virtualization, cloud, security, and IoT.
- Provide technical leadership and mentoring to engineering teams.
