A leading financial institution is seeking an experienced Quantitative Model Developer to join a highly visible risk and analytics team supporting complex capital markets and counterparty exposure initiatives.

This role is ideal for a quantitative professional who enjoys solving challenging mathematical problems, developing sophisticated risk methodologies, and building scalable analytical solutions. The successful candidate will combine strong quantitative modeling expertise with hands-on Python development skills to enhance and maintain critical risk analytics frameworks used across complex financial products and portfolios.

The position offers the opportunity to collaborate with senior stakeholders, technology teams, risk professionals, and business leaders while contributing to strategic initiatives that directly impact enterprise-wide decision-making.

Key ResponsibilitiesQuantitative Modeling & Analytics
  • Develop, enhance, and maintain quantitative models used to measure and manage complex financial exposures.
  • Analyze existing methodologies and identify opportunities for model improvements and optimization.
  • Derive mathematical formulas, validate assumptions, and implement analytical solutions.
  • Evaluate model performance and support ongoing enhancement efforts.
  • Apply advanced statistical, probabilistic, and stochastic modeling techniques to solve complex business challenges.
Technical Development
  • Design and develop Python-based quantitative libraries, tools, and analytical frameworks.
  • Build prototype solutions and partner with technology teams to support production implementation.
  • Leverage modern development tools and automation technologies to improve efficiency and scalability.
  • Utilize SQL to analyze, extract, and manipulate large datasets for modeling and validation purposes.
Collaboration & Stakeholder Engagement
  • Partner with quantitative analysts, risk teams, technology organizations, and business stakeholders.
  • Translate business requirements into technical and quantitative specifications.
  • Support model governance, documentation, validation, and audit-related activities.
  • Provide guidance and mentorship to junior team members on quantitative methodologies and development best practices.
Operational Support
  • Respond to evolving business priorities and analytical requests in a fast-paced environment.
  • Deliver high-quality model enhancements, analysis, and documentation within established timelines.
  • Ensure adherence to internal controls, compliance standards, and risk management frameworks.
Required Qualifications
  • 5 years of quantitative analytics, quantitative modeling, financial engineering, or related experience.
  • Strong Python programming experience with the ability to develop scalable analytical solutions.
  • Advanced SQL skills and experience working with large datasets.
  • Strong foundation in mathematics, statistics, probability, and stochastic modeling techniques.
  • Experience developing, enhancing, validating, or implementing quantitative models.
  • Ability to communicate complex quantitative concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience supporting risk, exposure, or capital markets-related analytics.
  • Background working with complex financial products, derivatives, or trading-related environments.
  • Familiarity with modern software development practices and AI-assisted coding tools.
  • Experience mentoring junior analysts or developers.
  • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Statistics, Financial Engineering, Physics, Economics, Computer Science, or a related quantitative discipline.
