A large, nationally recognized professional services organization is seeking a Senior Billing Administrator to join its high-performing finance operations team. This position serves as a senior member of the billing group, supporting a large attorney population alongside a collaborative team of billing specialists and coordinators.
This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced legal or professional services environment and has strong experience managing complex billing workflows, attorney relationships, and electronic invoicing processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage full-cycle billing for a high-volume portfolio of attorneys and client matters
- Support billing operations for a group supporting more than 100 attorneys across multiple practice areas
- Review and process prebills, billing adjustments, write-downs, transfers, and final invoices
- Ensure timely submission of invoices through electronic billing platforms and vendor portals
- Partner closely with attorneys, legal assistants, and finance teams to resolve billing issues and maintain billing accuracy
- Monitor unbilled time, WIP aging, accruals, and outstanding billing items
- Generate and analyze billing, accounts receivable, and financial reporting data
- Maintain client-specific billing guidelines, rate structures, and special billing arrangements
- Assist with mentoring and supporting junior billing team members as needed
- Contribute to process improvements and department initiatives within the finance organization
- Must have a minimum of 5 years of legal billing experience in a larger law firm supporting multiple attorneys
- A minimum of 2 years of experience with Elite 3E or Aderant is a MUST
- Strong knowledge of eBillingHub and electronic invoice submission processes
- Experience supporting high-volume attorney groups and complex client billing arrangements
- Excellent communication and relationship management skills
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to manage competing deadlines
- Advanced organizational and problem-solving abilities
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite
