QA Analyst - Automated Testing, Quality Assurance, SQL

Position Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive QA Analyst with mid-level

experience to join our team. The ideal candidate has a strong foundation in

testing methodologies, hands-on experience testing Salesforce applications and

integrations, and experience in the mortgage or financial services industry.

This role will be instrumental in ensuring reliability and business outcomes are

met.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and execute comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test

scripts for Salesforce-based applications, integrations, and workflows,

ensuring alignment with defined business outcomes and success metrics

  • Perform functional, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing

(UAT) across Salesforce CRM environments including custom objects, flows,

validation rules, and third-party integrations

  • Identify, document, and track defects through their lifecycle using defect

management tools (e.g., Jira, Azure DevOps), ensuring thorough root cause

analysis and resolution follow-up

  • Collaborate closely with Product Managers, Business Analysts, Developers, and

stakeholders to understand requirements, define expected business outcomes,

and translate them into testable acceptance criteria that validate both

functional correctness and business value delivery

  • Validate data integrity and accuracy across Salesforce integrations with

external systems and APIs

  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies including sprint reviews, daily

stand-ups to ensure quality is embedded throughout the development lifecycle

  • Develop and maintain QA documentation including test strategies, traceability

matrices, and testing reports

  • Support production deployments by performing smoke testing, post-release

validation, and verification that deployed features achieve intended business

outcomes and KPIs

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and contribute to the

continuous improvement of QA practices, tools, and standards

  • Develop and execute test scenarios that validate business outcomes for each

feature, ensuring that released functionality delivers measurable value

aligned with product goals, user adoption targets, and operational efficiency

improvements

  • Assist in evaluating and implementing QA automation tools and frameworks as

the team matures its automation capabilities

Required Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in software quality assurance
  • Demonstrated experience testing Salesforce and custom Salesforce

implementations

  • Solid understanding of Salesforce architecture, data models, workflows,

process builders, and Lightning components

  • Proficiency in writing and executing detailed test cases, test plans, and bug

reports

  • Experience with defect tracking and test management tools
  • Strong understanding of QA methodologies, SDLC, and Agile frameworks
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to

detail

  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to

collaborate across technical and non-technical teams

  • Experience with API testing using tools such as Postman
  • Experience working in the mortgage or financial services industry, with

familiarity of loan origination systems, compliance requirements, and

mortgage workflows

Nice-to-have Qualifications

  • Experience with QA automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium, Katalon

Studio, Playwright, or similar

  • Familiarity with scripting languages used in test automation (e.g., Java,

Python, JavaScript)

  • Salesforce Administrator or Salesforce Platform App Builder certification
  • Experience testing Salesforce integrations with platforms such as Five9,

Twilio, or marketing automation tools

  • Knowledge of mortgage industry systems such as Encompass, loan origination

platforms, or reverse mortgage (HECM) products and processes

  • Understanding of mortgage regulatory compliance and experience testing for

compliance-related requirements

  • Exposure to CI/CD pipelines and automated testing within DevOps workflows
  • Experience with performance or load testing tools

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related

field, or equivalent work experience
