Our client, a leading technology company, is seeking a Freelance Events Specialist to support their Bay Area events team.
This is a part-time opportunity (approximately 15 hours/week) with a highly flexible, ad hoc schedule. Candidates must be based in the Bay Area, as this role requires frequent onsite support for events, ranging from small dinners to large-scale conferences and sponsorship activations. When not onsite, work can be done remotely. This opportunity will be for about 3 months with potential to extend and /or expand based on performance and business need.

When not onsite, work can be done remotely. This opportunity will be for about 3 months with potential to extend and /or expand based on performance and business need.
Responsibilities
- Work alongside the events manager to support end-to-end event logistics, including venue walkthroughs, swag coordination and deliveries, mailers, onsite registration, setup, and teardown all within the Bay Area
- Assist in producing and coordinating event-related content, including supporting media and startup programming initiatives
- Manage administrative tasks such as ordering swag, tracking inventory, coordinating print/design needs, and liaising with vendors and venues
- Serve as an onsite representative for the brand within the local startup ecosystem, building relationships and supporting community engagement
- Provide flexible, hands-on support for a high volume of events, often with short lead times (typically 2 weeks notice)
- 3-5 years of experience in event coordination, production, or related field
- Must be based in the Bay Area and available for frequent in-person event support (approximately 2-3 events per week)
- Experience supporting a range of event sizes, from small, intimate gatherings to larger-scale conferences or sponsorships ideally B2B experience
- Highly organized and adaptable, with the ability to manage shifting priorities in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Comfortable with hands-on event execution, including physical setup, deliveries, and onsite coordination
- Strong communication skills and ability to represent the brand professionally in external settings
- Approx. 15 hours/week, with some fluctuation based on event volume
- Peak event periods expected June 28 - July 2 and August 7 - 15
