Our client, a luxury hospitality group based in Washington DC is seeking a driven and relationship-focused Diplomatic Sales Manager to lead sales efforts within the diplomatic and embassy segments. This role plays a key part in driving revenue, strengthening government relationships, and representing the hotel in key feeder markets.

Key Responsibilities

Business Development

  • Prospect, qualify, and secure new diplomatic and embassy business
  • Prepare tailored proposals, rate agreements, and contracts
  • Manage inquiries and deliver customized client solutions

Client Engagement and Representation

  • Conduct site inspections, client events, and off-site presentations
  • Represent the hotel at trade shows, conventions, and sales missions
  • Maintain strong relationships with embassies and government contacts

Market Strategy and Intelligence

  • Monitor global events and trends impacting diplomatic travel
  • Track international and local events to anticipate diplomatic visits
  • Support strategic initiatives to grow revenue and market share

Reporting and Forecasting

  • Prepare monthly sales reports and segment forecasts
  • Analyze performance and adjust strategies to meet goals

Qualifications

  • 5-6 years of luxury hotel sales experience (diplomatic segment required)
  • College degree preferred
  • Strong knowledge of the designated geographic market
  • Ability to travel as needed
  • Exceptional communication, diplomacy, and relationship-building skills
  • Strong forecasting and decision-making abilities
  • Professional appearance and presentation skills
  • Professional memberships or community involvement a plus
