A fast-growing fintech data company is hiring a Founding Data Analytics Engineer to help build the data foundation behind a market-leading analytics platform used by leading investment firms.
This is a highly technical, hands-on role where you'll transform complex financial datasets into clean, structured, product-ready data that powers customer-facing analytics. You'll work closely with software engineers to improve data quality, automate workflows, and shape how data is modeled and delivered.
What You'll Do
- Transform complex spreadsheets and financial data into structured, high-quality datasets
- Build SQL and Python workflows to validate, clean, and automate data processing
- Partner closely with engineering to improve data models and product functionality
- Develop automated quality checks and analytical tooling to ensure data accuracy
- Help scale the company's core data platform through process improvements and AI-powered automation
What They're Looking For
- 8 years of experience in data engineering, analytics engineering, or a similar technical role
- Strong SQL and Python skills
- Advanced Excel experience
- Experience building data pipelines, validation frameworks, and automation
- Comfortable working in a fast-paced startup environment with significant ownership
- Strong attention to detail and passion for data quality
Nice to Have
- Experience with financial data, equity structures, or fintech
- Familiarity with LLMs or AI-assisted development tools
- Experience working closely with software engineering teams
