What are the responsibilities and job description for the Founding Recruiter position at Talent Vine?
We’re partnering with several fast-growing startups in NYC looking for their first in-house recruiter — someone excited to help build teams from the ground up and shape how recruiting is done as the company scales.
This is a high-impact role for a recruiter who loves working directly with founders, thrives in fast-moving environments, and wants to see their work translate into real company growth. We’re also open to agency recruiters who are ready to transition in house — if you’ve been curious about joining a startup, this is your chance to step into a founding role where you’ll have ownership, visibility, and tons of runway to grow.
What you’ll do:
- Partner closely with founders and hiring managers to design and execute hiring strategies across key functions
- Build the recruiting engine from scratch — process, tooling, metrics, and candidate experience
- Experiment with sourcing, outreach, and branding approaches that reflect each company’s personality
- Embrace recruiting tools and AI-driven workflows to work smarter, faster, and with better insight
- Track and report on pipeline metrics to help the team make data-informed decisions
