Job Title: Tool Machine Builder
Location: Grandville, MI
Shift: 1st Shift
Pay: $23-25/hr. (Based on experience)
Job Duties:
- Build and test prototype forklifts and components for function and durability.
- Fabricate custom fixtures, jigs, and tools to support manufacturing processes.
- Perform MIG, TIG, and stick welding for assembly and structural fabrication.
- Read and interpret blueprints and GD&T to guide builds and ensure accuracy.
- Troubleshoot and solve problems in welding, machining, or assembly processes.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams during prototype development.
- Work across different manufacturing systems, including automotive and industrial machinery.
Requirements:
- Prototype Construction & Testing: Skilled in building and evaluating prototype products and machines to ensure functionality, accuracy, and durability.
- Fixture & Tooling Fabrication: Experienced in designing, machining, and assembling custom jigs, fixtures, and tooling to improve production efficiency and quality.
- Welding & Fabrication: Skilled in MIG, TIG, and stick welding, along with metal fabrication techniques to support prototype development and repairs.
- Blueprint Reading & GD&T: Strong ability to interpret engineering drawings, geometric dimensioning and tolerancing (GD&T), and technical specifications.
- Problem-Solving & Troubleshooting: Adept at identifying and resolving machining, welding, and assembly challenges to optimize performance.
- Industry Versatility: Experience across various manufacturing sectors, including automotive, aerospace, and industrial machinery.
