Job Overview:
Our client is seeking a skilled TIG Welder to join their manufacturing team. This role is responsible for producing high-quality TIG welds on stainless steel, aluminum, and other metals while following blueprints, specifications, and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a strong attention to detail, take pride in their workmanship, and be comfortable working in a fast-paced production environment.
Responsibilities:
- Perform high-quality TIG welding on stainless steel, aluminum, and other specified metals.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, fabrication drawings, and welding symbols to ensure accurate welds.
- Prepare materials by cutting, grinding, fitting, and cleaning components prior to welding.
- Inspect finished welds for accuracy, strength, appearance, and adherence to specifications.
- Use weld gauges and precision measuring tools to verify tolerances and quality standards.
- Maintain welding equipment and perform routine preventative maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures, quality standards, and company policies at all times.
- Work collaboratively with team members to meet production schedules and output goals.
Qualifications:
- 2 years of TIG welding experience preferred; entry-level candidates with formal training or schooling will be considered.
- Ability to read and interpret fabrication drawings and welding symbols.
- Strong attention to detail with a commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Familiarity with weld gauges, measuring tools, and inspection techniques.
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods throughout the shift.
- Welding certification is a plus, or willingness to obtain certification if not currently held.
