Hand Sprayer / Finishing Operator

Full-Time | 1st Shift (4am-2:30pm Monday-Thursday)
Pay: $17/hr
Job Summary
The Hand Sprayer is responsible for applying coatings, paints, and finishes to manufactured parts using hand spray equipment. This role requires attention to detail, a focus on quality, and adherence to safety procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Apply paints, primers, and coatings to parts and components using hand spray guns.
- Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, and masking parts prior to spraying.
- Mix and adjust coating materials to achieve proper consistency, color, and coverage.
- Inspect finished parts for defects such as runs, thin coverage, or contamination.
- Perform touch-ups and minor rework to meet quality standards.
- Maintain spray booths, equipment, and work areas by performing routine cleaning and preventive maintenance.
- Follow all safety procedures, including proper PPE usage and handling of chemicals.
- Document production activity, material usage, and quality checks.
- Collaborate with production and quality teams to resolve finishing issues.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in hand spraying, powder coating, or finishing preferred, but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to follow safety procedures and standard operating instructions.
- Willingness to learn and develop new skills in a manufacturing environment.
