Manufacturing Production Assistant

Manufacturing Production Assistant Hours: 6:00 am – 2:30 pm

Position Summary: Working under general supervision, remove burrs, break edges, clean, and remove contamination from machine finished products. Prepare and package finished products for shipment. This position will utilize confidential information; Confidentiality Agreement is strictly enforced. Essential Functions:

• Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, sketches and other product/engineer specifications.

• Remove burrs, break edges, clean, and remove contamination from machine finished products, as required on customer drawings and specifications.

• Clean products with various solvents/liquids as needed.

• Select lighting aids and visual magnification in order to ensure no visible burrs can be seen under various magnification strengths as required by customer specifications.

• Package finished products in polybags, boxes, etc. according to customer specifications and accurately label finished products as required.

• Perform other duties as assigned.

Skills, Knowledge, and Experience:

• Previous experience working in a machine shop/manufacturing environment performing hand finishing and/or deburring tasks is a plus.

• Must be proficient in reading and understanding blueprints.

• Strong attention to detail skills.

• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work independently is essential.

• Ability to adapt quickly to changing priorities and respond to unforeseen requests.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Work Environment:

• Machine shop environment with exposure to large machinery/equipment. • Clean and well-ventilated production areas. • Some machinery operation may require the use of safety equipment to include but not limited to safety glasses. • Exposure to chemicals/solvents such as alcohol or paint thinner while cleaning parts. • Noise levels are moderate.
