What are the responsibilities and job description for the Registered Nurse - Outpatient Surgery position at TALENT Software Services?
Duties
- Provide nursing care in an outpatient surgery setting.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient care.
- Manage and maintain patient records using Epic charting system.
- Ensure adherence to infection control, laser safety, and radiation safety protocols.
- Handle specimen labeling and universal protocol procedures.
- Assist in various surgical procedures across specialties such as Orthopedics, Urology, General Surgery, ENT, Ophthalmology, Podiatry, and Pain Management.
- Experience with Ambulatory OR and General OR settings.
- Proficiency in surgical procedures, including but not limited to:
- Orthopedic: ACL reconstruction, arthroscopy, carpal tunnel release.
- Gynecology: Dilation & Curettage, laparoscopic procedures.
- General Surgery: Appendectomy, cholecystectomy, hernia repair.
- Ophthalmology: Cataract extraction/implant.
- Urology: Cystoscopy, TURP.
- ENT: Tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, endoscopic sinus procedures.
- Knowledge of equipment and instrumentation, including electrosurgical units and fiber optic light sources.
- Strong skills in infection control, specimen handling, and wound management.
- Minimum 1 year of nursing experience required.
- California state nursing license required.
- Experience in teaching or community hospitals preferred.
- Epic charting system experience preferred.
Salary : $45 - $50
