What are the responsibilities and job description for the Radiation Therapist position at TALENT Software Services?
Duties
- Manage a daily caseload of approximately 25 patients per day.
- Utilize Varian 21 EX/iX equipment for treatment procedures.
- Perform radiation therapy procedures, including tumor localization and beam modifying/positioning.
- Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain accurate patient records using the EPIC charting system.
- Proficiency with ARIA Skillset and EPIC charting system preferred.
- Experience with custom molds, shields, and block cutting.
- Knowledge of B-Mode Acquisition targeting, CBCT/kV/mV imaging, and compensation filters.
- Ability to calculate radiation doses using Treatment Planning Systems like Pinnacle (Philips) and Eclipse (Varian).
- Familiarity with external beam therapy and IMRT - Intensity Modulated Radiotherapy.
- Adherence to radiation safety protocols and isolation precautions.
- Competency in using lift/transfer devices and responding to rapid response/code teams.
- Minimum of 1 year of experience in radiation therapy.
- Required certifications: BLS, ARRT, ARRT (T) (Radiation Therapy), CA State License.
- Experience in an oncology center setting preferred.
