What are the responsibilities and job description for the OR Tech / Surgical Tech position at TALENT Software Services?
Duties
- Assist in a variety of surgical procedures, including outpatient, community hospital, orthopedic, neuro, and vascular cases.
- Participate in trauma cases as required.
- Ensure compliance with aseptic techniques and universal protocols.
- Operate and maintain surgical equipment and instrumentation.
- Respond to on-call duties, including one weeknight per week and every 2nd or 3rd Saturday or Sunday.
- Participate in weekend shifts as scheduled.
- Proficient in aseptic technique, isolation precautions, and sterilization/disinfection.
- Knowledgeable in laser safety, radiation safety, and sharps safety.
- Experience with a variety of surgical procedures across multiple specialties, including vascular, gynecology, plastics, neuro surgery, trauma, podiatry, general surgery, orthopedic, and more.
- Familiarity with equipment and instrumentation such as case carts, crash carts, and microscopes.
- Preferred skills include experience with craniotomy, airway management, and the use of the da Vinci Xi Surgical System.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in surgical technology, with a preference for 5 years.
- Experience in trauma level I is required.
- Travel experience is required.
- Community hospital experience is preferred.
- Certifications such as BLS, CST, and NBSTSA are required, with additional certifications preferred.
- Experience with Epic charting system is preferred.
Salary : $35 - $37
