The Physical Therapist is a key member of the IDT, focusing on care planning and the coordination and delivery of restorative and rehabilitative physical therapy services to participants, working to maximize independence and safety.

On the day-to-day, you will:
Conduct Physical Therapy assessments in our facility and occasionally in the home to define participant care needs, preferences, and goals
Actively participate in IDT meetings to develop participant care plans
Deliver and document interventions as agreed upon in participant care plans
Provide active and passive exercise, muscle re-education, gait, functional training of ADLs, and treatments including massage, heat, sound, water, light, or electricity
Supervise Therapy Assistants, providing training, instruction, and guidance needed to implement Functional Maintenance Programs (FMP)
Provide training and instruction to staff, participants, and caregivers/families on the use and care of therapeutic equipment

Bachelor’s degree in physical therapy; master’s or doctoral degree preferred
Two (2) years in clinical setting with frail or elderly population preferred
Valid California Physical Therapy License, or proof of license eligibility
Must obtain CPR and First Aid certification within 180 days of hire and maintain certification thereafter; CPR and First Aid certification upon hire preferred
