What you will be doing:
Client is seeking a highly skilled Commercial Field Service Technician with expertise in burglar alarm systems, fire alarm systems, and network-based CCTV and access control systems. This role involves servicing, maintaining, and troubleshooting commercial security systems at client sites while delivering a high level of customer service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Install, service, and maintain commercial security systems including fire alarm, access control, and video surveillance
- Troubleshoot issues with alarm panels, wiring, and field devices
- Perform system programming, diagnostics, repairs, and upgrades
- Read and interpret blueprints, electrical, building, and sprinkler plans
- Conduct system testing to ensure functionality and compliance
- Provide on-site customer support and basic system training
- Collaborate with internal teams to resolve service requests efficiently
- Document service activities, inspections, and work orders accurately
- Identify and repair or replace defective equipment
- Test system components such as batteries and keypads
- Coordinate inspections and installations with local authorities
- Follow up on open service tickets and ongoing work
- Maintain inventory and ensure readiness for scheduled jobs
- Safely operate company vehicles and equipment
- Stay current with industry technologies and standards
- Participate in on-call rotation as required
Required Qualifications:
- Experience in field service, installation, or maintenance of commercial security systems
- Strong knowledge of low-voltage systems (fire alarm, access control, CCTV/video)
- Ability to read and interpret technical diagrams and schematics
- Advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to work independently and in a team environment
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift equipment and work at heights or in confined spaces

- Minimum 7 years of experience in the fire and security systems industry
- Multi-discipline experience across security platforms

- Commercial would be from 5000 Sq ft to 1,000,000 sq ft and could be warehouse, manufacturing, office buildings, or housing.
- Location: Multiple locations including 26165 Broadway, Cleveland, from central Ohio northward, and Dayton, Ohio

Salary : $26,000 - $9,000,032
