This is a hands-on role inside a 24/7 manufacturing environment where you’ll directly impact plant performance — not just maintain systems, but improve them. You’ll split your time between solving real-time equipment issues and leading engineering projects that reduce downtime and increase reliability.
You’ll work closely with an experienced E&C team while gaining ownership of electrical and controls initiatives that drive measurable results across operations.
What you’ll do
- Improve equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime through root cause analysis
- Own electrical and controls projects from concept to completion (up to ~$50K)
- Optimize PLC, HMI, DCS, and SCADA systems for better performance and throughput
- Support plant safety initiatives and ensure compliance with electrical standards
- Troubleshoot control systems and implement long-term fixes
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to drive efficiency
- Mentor and support junior technical staff where needed
What you bring
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology
- 1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Strong experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and HMIs
- Basic project management experience
- Solid troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
- Exposure to industrial networking (DeviceNet/ControlNet) is a plus
- Familiarity with SCADA/DCS systems (Ignition, Wonderware, or similar) is a plus
