The Pulse of Our Imaging Department

As a Cardiac MRI Technologist I, you'll be the linchpin in our advanced cardiac imaging services. Your expertise will be crucial in producing high-quality images that aid in the diagnosis and treatment of heart conditions.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate MRI equipment to perform cardiac examinations
• Prepare patients for MRI procedures and ensure their comfort and safety
• Position patients correctly to obtain optimal images
• Select appropriate imaging parameters and sequences
• Monitor patients during examinations
• Process and enhance digital images using computer software
• Maintain and troubleshoot MRI equipment
• Collaborate with radiologists and cardiologists to ensure image quality
• Adhere to safety protocols and radiation protection standards
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
• Stay updated on the latest MRI technologies and techniques

Qualifications:

Must be an echo tech ARMIT OR ARRT-MR OR RDMS. If RDMS, must obtain ARMIT within 18 months of hire.

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Radiologic Technology or related field
• Current certification as a Registered MRI Technologist (ARMRIT or ARRT-MR)
• Minimum of 2 years of experience in MRI, with a focus on cardiac imaging
• Proficiency in cardiac MRI protocols and sequences
• Knowledge of cross-sectional anatomy and physiology
• Familiarity with PACS and RIS systems
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
