The Opportunity
We are seeking an experienced Principal Project Controls Specialist to lead cost management and integrated project controls for a major, multi-year power generation construction project.
The role will initially support the project from the Charlotte area, with anticipated mobilization to the Davie County, NC field site in Spring 2028.
What You’ll Do
- Manage cost baselines, budgets, forecasts, accruals, and contingency
- Lead earned value management (EVM), variance, and trend analysis
- Integrate cost and schedule data to support project decisions
- Coordinate with field schedulers and vendors on cost, schedule, and progress
- Review change orders for cost and schedule impacts
- Maintain cost systems and monthly project controls reporting
- Support project funding and forecasting
- Provide technical leadership to the project controls team
What You Need
- 10 years of related experience with a bachelor’s degree OR 14 years with a high school diploma/equivalent
- Lead-level project controls experience on large EPC construction projects
- Power generation construction experience with Combined Cycle, Simple Cycle, Solar, or Battery projects
- Strong cost forecasting, EVM, budgeting, and cost/schedule integration experience
- Advanced Excel skills
- Experience with Primavera P6 and project controls/cost management systems
- Willingness to mobilize to the Davie County, NC field site
- Valid driver’s license
Preferred
Experience with EcoSys, Maximo, Power BI, Acumen Fuse, or similar project controls tools. PMP or AACE certifications are a plus.
